Whether you’re looking for style and practicality, comfort and support our experts will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Choosing the right shape, support & comfort.
Our expert staff will be happy to explain the different qualities of the sofas and chairs. Here are some things of the key things to consider.
Frame: The frame gives the sofa or chair its shape and structure. The frames in all the ranges of sofas or chairs are tough, strong and durable to cope with demands of everyday life.

•   Support: Our sofas have a number of different support systems, from traditional springs and webbing to serpentine or zigzag springs and even sprung edges.

•   Fillings: This is what we call the comfort layer. Here there are 2 choices –
•   Foam: This gives the firmest feel and retains its look best. Manufacturers of traditional furniture prefer foam fillings.
•   Fibre: A man made synthetic filling usually wrapped in ‘ticking’ offers medium to soft comfort, depending on the density of the filling. Cushions with a fibre filling must be plumed daily to retain their shape.
Here in the shop you can try both foam filled sofas and chairs and fibre, so you can then decide which one suits you the best.

Choosing the right cover.
We’ve got a fantastic range of sofas and chairs in fabric and in leather. Here’s a brief guide to the pros and cons of the different covers.

   •   Leather (Hide): Our leather collection is offered in a wide selection of qualities, colours and finishes. As leather is a natural material its worth remembering to expect certain natural characteristics in the finish of your furniture. No two hides are exact, so it is important to realise that neck wrinkles, scars, insect bites, veins and growth lines are not faults but are features that enhance the natural beauty of your sofa or chair, and will improve with age. Leather does stretch and crease in its own individual way, particularly in the first few weeks of use, so creasing on the cushion tops can be expected.

   •   Fabrics: Our comprehensive range of fabric offers over 150 quality choices and all are carefully selected for their popular colours, attractive designs, value for money and wearing properties. If you know the exact colour scheme of your room and you need an exact colour, you can bring us in a piece of wall paper or carpet and we can assist you in finding the perfect fabric. Unfortunately the fabrics are not pattered matches so if you want a whole suite we recommend you order it all at the same time as we cannot guarantee colour matching between batches.
